Gely Pafilis

Geli Pafili is a Social Worker and Existential-Systemic Psychotherapist. After completing her undergraduate studies (2004), she began to
works in the field of Child Protection. Her interest in this field led her to postgraduate studies in Sociological Research and then to
Pedagogical Studies at the University of Athens.
Until 2014, it also collaborated with Special Education and immigrant care agencies.
During this professional and personal journey, the uniqueness of man and, in parallel, the existential questions that emerged, found a place for development at the Antistixi Institute, where she trained as an Existential Systemic Psychotherapist.
This was followed by her supervision and participation in the Genogram team.
During the period of training and supervision, the professional path began at the "ELPIDA" Children's Oncology Unit and specifically at the First University
Oncology Hematology Unit of "Agia Sophia" Hospital.
From 2015 until today, he has been close to children, adolescents diagnosed with cancer and their families, providing psychotherapeutic care.
In recent years, he has been a member of the Expertise Group for Rare Diseases of Genetic Predisposition to Cancer and the Long-Term Follow-up Clinic.

He has been trained in Clinical Psychopathology at the First Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens (Aeginiteio Hospital) and in the Program for Palliative Care for Children and Adolescents at "Merimna".
He has been a member of the Board of Directors. of the Hellenic Society for the Palliative Care of Children and Adolescents from 2019 until today.
At the "Antistixi" Institute, she works as a psychotherapist for adults and couples.
