Mina Avzoti is a social worker and psychotherapist. She was born in 1982 and grew up in Athens. She is married and she has a son. Mina holds a degree in Social Care from the Faculty of Health and Caring professions of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. She continued her education in Existential Systemic Psychotherapy, participating in the educational program of the educational Institute ‘Antistixi’, where she was specialised in individual, family and group psychotherapy. During her studies, she worked as a Social Worker in various settings including the City of Athens Homeless Shelter (KYADA), the Vyronas-Kaisariani Mental Health Community Centre, the Long Term Unit of O.KA.NA., and at the Medical Education Service of Ε.Ο.Π.Υ.Υ. Moreover, she has worked as a volunteer at both counseling and therapeutic level, in the Adolescent Therapy Department of Κ.Π.Ψ.Υ. within Ε.Ο.Π.Υ.Υ., undertaking family care as well as providing psychosocial services to both adolescents and parents. Since 2006, she has been working at the Therapeutic and Educational Institute ‘Antistixi’ as a psychotherapist in the individual treatment of adolescents, young people and adults. She also has previous work experience in the group psychotherapy of mothers as well as in group psychotherapy of couples in crisis. She has participated in numerous educational, experiential and scientific conferences, In 2012 she was also a member of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress of Orthodox Psychotherapists. Mina is also a fellow of the Social Workers Association of Greece, since 2017.u International Conference of Orthodox Psychotherapists.
