Menelaos Kanakis was born in Athens. He studied Social Work in
Department of Social Work, School of Health and Welfare Professions of Athens and
Psychology at Panteion University of Athens. He completed his therapeutic training in Systemic Existential Therapy at the Therapeutic and
Antistitsis Educational Institute.
He is the Psychosocial Support Coordinator of the Hellenic Red Cross,
where he is responsible for the training of volunteers and staff of the E.E.S. and
for the coordination of provision of psychosocial support and promotion of mental health
in vulnerable population groups.
He has collaborated with the NEW DAY Center in therapeutic treatment
eating disorders and other emotional difficulties with the HEALTH SPA
CENTER DAY in the therapeutic treatment of post-traumatic stress, nutritional
disorders and other emotional difficulties.
It cooperates with Kindergartens in the organization of parenting schools, the
counseling and providing guidance to parenting couples. In this context
appreciates the psychomotor development of children and utilizes the study of childhood
footprint.
He participates in conferences, workshops and trainings, while he works privately as a Systemic _
Existential Psychotherapist and is a member of the Hellenic Society of Systemics
Treatment.
