Maria Georgakopoulou studied Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy
of the University of Athens and the University of Kent in England where he obtained his
postgraduate degree Master of Arts – Psychoanalytic Studies In the
Humanities. In addition, he is trained in Systemic Family Psychotherapy,
at the "Antistixi" Therapeutic and Educational Institute. Her professional
course begins in 1996 where he works as a psychologist at the Municipality's KEK
Zografou. At the same time, it collaborates with various organizations such as the Consultancy
Family Center of the Municipality of Zografou, Centers of Accompanying Services, NELE
Eastern Attica etc., where he gained significant experience in Atomic and
Group Counseling of people with or threatened with social
exclusion (Heads of Single-Parent Families, Refugees, People with special needs
needs etc). Also in her interests is Adult Education in
cooperation with Vocational Training Centers, Master KEK, DIOTIMA etc
and since 2016 has been officially certified by EOPPEP as
adult trainer
Since 2004, he has been working at the Anti-Drug Organization (OKANA) where
deals with the psychotherapy of individuals and groups with addiction issues and from
in 2008 he is a partner of the "Antistixis" Institute with the object of
psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. It also organizes
educational workshops for the trainees of "Antistitsis" in
Systemic Family Psychotherapy
Attends training seminars that promote and update it

presentations, Workshops, gives speeches in various contexts such as schools,
youth centers etc. and her articles are published in the Scientific Journal
