Thanasis Asimakopoulos

Thanasis Asimakopoulos is a Doctor, Specialist. Psychiatrist and Existential Systemic Psychotherapist. He is married, father of one child who lives and works in Athens.

He studied at the Medical School of the University of Patras. Initially, he specialized in Pediatrics at the General Hospital "Asklipieio Voula" and at the General Hospital "Paedon Pentelis". Then his interest turned to Psychiatry and initially he specialized in the Psychiatric Clinic of the 251 General Hospital of Aviation and now works in the Psychiatric Clinic of G.N.N.TH.A. "SALVATION".

At the same time, he works as an Existential Systemic Psychotherapist for teenagers, adults, couples and families as a voluntary scientific collaborator at the Athens Child Mental Health Center.

Completing his training in Existential-Systemic Psychotherapy at the Therapeutic and Educational Institute "Antistixis", he now works at the Institute as a scientific associate.

He insists on seeing healing as the release of each person's hidden potential and is grateful to the people who trust him and allow him to share in the miracle.

As, after all, the great Russian writer F. Dostoyevsky puts it in his work "The Brothers Karamazov": "In the realist faith is not born from miracle, but miracle from faith."
